11 August 1947: Jinnah becomes President of Pakistan, the crowd at railway stations. Just three days before independence, Pakistan had elected its first president. Also, he got his new national flag. Just before independence, Mohammad Ali Jinnah was elected unopposed President of Pakistan. Jinnah said that Hindus and Muslims all have equal rights in Pakistan.

In the Constituent Assembly meeting in Karachi, Jinnah was elected unopposed president. After this Jinnah gave a speech that in Pakistan you are free. Whether you go to the temple or mosque.

The person from Barabanki made the flag of Pakistan
Pakistan today hoisted its national flag. It was designed by Amiruddin Kidwai. This was to be hoisted on the Independence Day of Pakistan on 14 August. Kidwai was born in Barabanki, Uttar Pradesh.

After this, he studied law from Aligarh Muslim University. His political life began as an activist in the Khilafat movement. In 1947, he moved from here to Lahore. He practiced there.

Gandhiji was about to go to Noakhali burning in the riots. When Suhrawardy came to know, he reached Calcutta directly from Karachi. I met Gandhiji. They requested him to stay in Calcutta. He told Gandhiji that there will be peace in Noakhali now – for this he will try his best.

In Srinagar, Ramchandra Kak resigned as Prime Minister due to differences with Maharaja Hari Singh. Major General Janak Singh was temporarily sworn in as Prime Minister in his place.

New Delhi railway stations crowded by thousands
The problem was becoming more complicated in Punjab. There were a fierce escape and mass slaughter. There was a huge crowd at all stations across the country. Thousands of people gathered at the railway station in New Delhi.

There was no place to set foot anywhere. During this time many special trains were run. Not only in India, but there was also a huge crowd of people coming to India in big railway stations in Pakistan.

Merger of Manipur
Manipur decided to merge with India. His Maharaja Buddhachandra signed the merger letter. Although many people of his own state were against it. They thought that this merger would not be permanent.
