Accommodation for devotees will increase in Yatri Niwas, 24-hour health facility will be available: Baba Amarnath Yatra 2021.
Deputy Commissioner Jammu Anshul Garg held a high-level meeting to review the arrangements being made for the pilgrims at the base camp of Baba Amarnath Yatra at Bhagwati Nagar.
He inquired about various facilities including accommodation, electricity, water, sanitation, transportation, security, mobile operations, clock room, anchor arrangements, parking facility.
Accommodation for devotees: The concerned officials told the deputy commissioner that there are 13 halls in the Yatri Niwas. It has the capacity to accommodate one and a half thousand devotees simultaneously.
Attachments toilets have been made with all halls. Apart from this, the tourism department has also constructed a hall. Which has the capacity to accommodate five hundred pilgrims.
On this, the Deputy Commissioner directed that the present capacity of six thousand should be increased to at least five thousand.
For this, the Deputy Commissioner directed the Public Works Department to construct a shed in the plot of forty canals lying vacant.
There should be an arrangement of stay of additional three thousand devotees and they should have a water supply, mobile toilet, charging point.
Giving special attention to the cleanliness system, the Deputy Commissioner said that special attention should be paid to cleanliness at the Yatri Niwas and all other places where devotees will stay.
The deputy commissioner on health facilities was informed that a sufficient number of doctors and teams of para-medical staff have been deployed at the Yatri Niwas. There will be 24-hour health facilities.
Earlier, the Deputy Commissioner visited the Yatri Niwas along with other senior officials to take stock of the facilities. He instructed the officers to make all kinds of arrangements for the comfortable travel of the passengers.
Bhairav Dev’s tableau concludes on Holi festival in Rajouri
Holi was celebrated with great pomp in the district. On this occasion, people played Holi fiercely. With this, the tableau of Bhairav Dev also ended.
A tableau of Bhairav Dev was removed from the Shiva temple of Jawahar Nagar on the occasion of Holi. The tableau was completed by coming back to the temple through various markets.
After this, the procession of Bhairav Dev’s tableau started in the main market which continued till late evening. Along with Bhairav Dev’s tableau, the youngsters were also seen playing Holi.
The youth fiercely glanced at each other’s faces as they flew into the air. Touches of youth were seen coloring each other everywhere.
At the same time, some youth were riding colors on motorcycles and touring the city, and applying color on each other. The process of playing Holi continued continuously till late evening.
At the same time, the women were also coloring their colors by making their teams. On Holi, the administration had made strong security arrangements throughout the region.
