Accused Wanted in Murder Case: Accused Narendra Singh, sought in a murder and riot case, has been brought back to India from Abu Dhabi with the assistance of Interpol channels.

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in close coordination with Interpol channels in Abu Dhabi facilitated the return of accused Narendra Singh, wanted in a murder and riot case, against whom a Red Corner Notice was issued.

This information was given in an official statement on Friday.

Singh was wanted by Haryana Police in a case of murder, rioting and voluntarily causing grievous hurt at Tohana police station, Fatehabad, Haryana.

CBI said that the Global Operations Center of the Central Bureau of Investigation has contacted Interpol NCB; Haryana Police; The Embassy of India in Abu Dhabi has coordinated with the Ministry of External Affairs, Abu Dhabi.

Also, today a Red Notice subject was returned to India from UAE along with security detail from STF of Haryana Police.

He was earlier located in the UAE through Interpol with close follow-up by the CBI. The High Court had sentenced the accused to life imprisonment vide order dated 24 October 2009.

At the request of Haryana Police, CBI had a red notice issued against him from the Interpol General Secretariat in November 2023.

A red notice was circulated to all Interpol member countries for the location and arrest of the accused.

CBI, as the National Central Bureau for Interpol in India, coordinates with all law enforcement agencies in India for assistance through Interpol channels.

Due to close coordination and follow-up with foreign law enforcement agencies through Interpol channels.

Around 29 criminals wanted by Indian law enforcement agencies were brought back from abroad in 2023.

The CBI has published more than 100 red notices through Interpol on criminals and fugitives wanted by Indian law enforcement agencies in 2023.
