Aero India starts today, the world will see a glimpse of the military strength and self-reliance of the new India. India is ready to show its strength to the whole world by showcasing state-of-the-art military equipment. The world will see a glimpse of the military strength and self-reliance of the new India at Aero India, Asia’s largest air show, starting on Monday in Yelahanka, Bengaluru. All preparations for the 15th Aero India, to be held at an interval of two years, have been completed.
Defense Minister Rajnath Singh will inaugurate the ‘India Pavilion’ at Aero India 2025 on Monday. The Defense Ministry said that Aero India is a testimony to India’s unwavering commitment to innovation, strategic cooperation, and excellence in aerospace and defense. Organized in an area of over 42 thousand square meters and with the participation of more than 900 exhibitors, including 150 foreign companies, it is going to be the largest ‘Aero India’ ever.
This show, to be held from February 10-14, will show a glimpse of the ‘strength and self-reliance’ of the new India. Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, who arrived in Bengaluru on Sunday, said that the participation of more than 90 countries in this airshow is ‘proof of growing global confidence’ in India’s aerospace and defense capabilities.
‘Aero India’ will advance the vision of a ‘strong, capable, safe and self-reliant India’. It will showcase India’s defense capabilities and build global partnerships. It is not only important for the country’s defense preparedness, but it also plays an important role in shaping the future of our country. Defense Ministers or representatives of ‘about 30 countries’ have come to participate in this event.
The presence of Air Force chiefs from 43 countries highlights the importance of this event. The Defense Minister said, “Our goal is to increase cooperation with our friendly nations in areas of common interest and promote shared progress. It will not only showcase technology and innovation but will also inspire our youth.

Defense sector government company Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) will display Artificial Intelligence (AI) powered warfare technology at Aero India. Weapon systems like the Pralay missile, long-range land attack cruise missiles, and QRSAM, a portable anti-drone system will also be displayed.
Air defense fire control radar, Ashwini radar, and multi-function radar will also show strength. Generative AI-based virtual assistant, voice translation system will also be displayed.
US Consulate officials said that America will participate in the Aero India show with its defense equipment and technology. During this, F-16, F-35, KC-135 Stratotanker, and B-1 Bomber will show their strength. The US Consulate said in a statement, more than two dozen American companies will explore the possibilities of new business opportunities.
These companies will display advances in unmanned aerial systems (UAS), fighter aircraft, advanced avionics, and defense electronics. Charge d’Affaires of the US Embassy in New Delhi Jorgan Andrews will lead a high-level US delegation of representatives from the US State, Defense, and Commerce departments.
Air Force Chief Air Chief Marshal AP Singh and Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi on Sunday flew for 45 minutes in a light combat aircraft (LCA) Tejas at the Air Force Station. This was the first time that two chiefs of the armed forces flew together in an indigenous aircraft.
The Air Force Chief was seen sitting in the pilot’s seat, while the Army Chief accompanied him as co-pilot. After the successful flight, General Dwivedi described the experience as the best moment of his life.
General Dwivedi said, “It was the best moment of my life and as you know the Air Chief Marshal is my classmate. We have been together since our NDA (National Defense Academy) days. I wish he had met me earlier and I would have joined the Air Force. I would be a fighter pilot if I had enlisted in the Air Force. From today Air Chief Marshal AP Singh is my guru because he made me do a lot of activities while in the sky.
All eyes will be on Hindustan Aeronautics Limited’s (HAL) indigenously designed and developed Light Utility Helicopter (LUH) at the Aero Show. HAL CMD DK Sunil said the major attractions in HAL’s pavilion will be models of LUH, Hindustan Turbo Trainer (HTT)-40 Simulator, LCA Mk 1A Fighter, LCA Mk 1 Trainer, Hindustan Jet Trainer-36, HTT-40, LCH and LH Mk II.
A 1:1 model of Advanced Medium Combat Aircraft (AMCA) will be displayed in the pavilion for the first time. A special Aerospace Corner with scaled models of Cryogenic Engine CE-20, GSLV Mk, and Chandrayaan-3 will showcase HAL’s capabilities and role in the aerospace industry.
The Defense Ministry said on Sunday that for the first time, the world’s two most advanced fifth-generation fighter aircraft Russian SU-57 and American F-35 Lightning will participate in ‘Aero India’. This is a milestone in global defense cooperation.
