Afghan SIM cards are active in POK, adjacent to the LoC, there is a possibility of infiltration in summer.

A large number of Afghan SIM cards are active in many areas of POK along the LoC. The army will have to wait till summer as it looks like an infiltration attempt will be made in J&K at that time.

Major General Ajay Chandpuria, GOC of the Army’s Dagger Division, said in response to questions from journalists in Baramulla on the possibility of infiltration of terrorists who returned from Afghanistan to Pakistan and POK,

He said that it is a matter of serious concern. According to the intelligence available to us, apart from Afghan terrorists in POK, Jaish, and  Al-Badr.

Many Taliban terrorists fighting against American forces with Taliban have also been seen during the last six to seven months.

These terrorists have brought with them a part of the arsenal of weapons left by American soldiers.

A large number of Afghan SIM cards are active in the areas of POK along the LoC. So we will have to wait till summer, at the same time to know whether it will infiltrate into J&K or not.

100-150 terrorists active on the launching pad.

He told that there are about 100-150 terrorists on the launching pads that run under the control of the Pakistan Army in POK.

Some such terrorist training camps have also started again which were closed three years ago. Only about 150-170 terrorists are active in the valley, out of which about 50 are Pakistanis.

There are also hybrid terrorists among local terrorists, which are a new challenge. There is a decrease in the recruitment of local terrorists.

Pak built new bunkers under the guise of the ceasefire.

He said the resumption of a ceasefire along the LoC has benefited the marginalized civilians on both sides. Marginal farmers have started appearing in their fields.

Under the guise of a ceasefire, the Pakistani Army has also prepared new bunkers and new posts in the forward parts of the LoC. They have also deployed big weapons.

We are keeping an eye on this and we have also made full preparations to deal with it.
