Agriculture Bill Protest: 5 people protesting at India Gate, detained, fire in the tractor. Agriculture Bill Protest, Punjab Youth Congress activists demonstrated at India Gate against agricultural legislation recently passed from Parliament.

Some farmers are also said to be involved in the protest. The protesters shouted slogans against the central government by taking a photo of Shaheed Bhagat Singh.

The protesting Congress workers set fire to a tractor. It is being told that this tractor was brought from Punjab itself. According to the leading news agency, the Delhi Police has detained five people from Punjab. Legal action is being taken against them.

According to the information received, around 7 am to 7.30 am, the protesters gathered at the India Gate and started demonstrating. On seeing the policemen who reached the spot, these people left from there.

Activists of Punjab Youth Congress say that the central government should withdraw this law. The protesters say that the new agricultural law is against the farmers.

Today i.e. September 28, is the birth anniversary of Shaheed Bhagat Singh. The country is remembering the martyr Bhagat Singh.

Meanwhile, the Congress has decided to hold a demonstration on the birth anniversary of Shaheed Bhagat Singh. In this sequence, a large number of Youth Congress workers reached India Gate on Monday morning and started protesting.

President’s approval of agricultural bills

In fact, President Ram Nath Kovind approved the three bills related to agricultural reform on Sunday night. All three bills have now become law with the signature of the President.

These include the Agricultural Produce Trade and Commerce (Promotion and Facilitation) Bill, Agriculture (Empowerment and Protection) Price Assurance and Agreement Bill on Agricultural Services, and Essential Commodities (Amendment) Bill.

A gazette notification has been published in this regard.

These three Bills, which paved the way for agrarian reform, were passed by Parliament in the monsoon session amid strong opposition from the opposition.

After the new law is made, farmers will be able to sell their products anywhere in the country at a good price. Opposition parties opposing the bill had requested the President not to approve them.

The way these bills were passed by Parliament, the opposition parties are calling it unconstitutional and an insult to parliamentary traditions.
