A bench headed by Chief Justice NV Ramana dismissed the plea of ​​PA Joseph. Joseph claims that he is the founder of the JJ party. Joseph challenged the order of the Madras High Court.

AIADMK’s two-leaf emblem will remain intact: High Court has imposed a fine of Rs 25,000 on the petitioner.

The High Court dismissed the petition imposing a fine of Rs 25,000 on Joseph. During the hearing, the petitioner told the Supreme Court that his petition was not only dismissed but a fine was also imposed.

To this, the CJI said, ‘Now how much fine should we impose? Should we impose a fine of Rs 25000 more? You don’t have work.’ Having said this, he dismissed the petition.

PA Joseph had sought freezing of the party’s emblem in the petition till the dispute between Edappadi K Palaniswami and O Panneerselvam is resolved.

The Madras High Court on Wednesday ordered the restoration of the status quo on June 23 in the AIADMK leadership case and held the July 11 decision to elect Palaniswami as interim chief invalid.

Palaniswami was appointed to the post of interim general secretary only last month. Along with this, he was given all the rights to run the party.

The whole affair started with the General Council meeting of AIADMK. Regarding this, party leader O. Panneerselvam moved the Madras High Court.
