Air Force Chief Review Preparations On LAC

Air Force Chief review preparations amidst Chinese Army exercises on LAC, know what said.

At a time when the Chinese Army is practicing in its training areas in front of Eastern Ladakh, Indian Air Force Chief RKS Bhadauria on Friday Visited Leh to review operational preparations for the Indian Air Force stationed there.

Sources said officials at Leh Air Base informed the Air Force Chief about their operational preparations and the ongoing operations along the China border.

Air Chief Marshal Air Chief Marshal RKS Bhadauria talked to the security personnel of the Air Force and also encouraged the soldiers.

He asked Indian airmen to be always ready to face any challenge. Seeing the operational preparedness of the Air Force in Leh and Kargil district, the Air Force Chief spoke to the officials on the security scenario.

Apart from this, he met Lieutenant Governor RK Mathur at Leh’s residence and apprised him of the security situation in Ladakh.

The Chief of Air Force also spoke of the steps being taken by the Air Force to cooperate in dealing with Corona. The Lieutenant Governor appreciated the help of the Air Force in the fight against Corona.

The Lieutenant Governor also thanked the Pawan Hans helicopter from Leh Airforce Station for allowing them to fly and helped in parking and filling petrol.

The Air Force chief said that the Indian Air Force is always on the spot to help the people along with protecting the border.

NDA’s 140th Course Passing Out Parade organized, Admiral Karambir Singh attended.

The National Defense Academy (NDA) organized the 140th Course Passing Out Parade on Saturday. Around 300 candidates participated in this passing-out parade.

Apart from these, other officers of the armed forces also participated during the passing out parade. Navy Chief Admiral Karambir Singh was also present on this special occasion.

Significantly, the passing out parade of the National Defense Academy is considered an important step for the cadets as they then officially become commissioned officers in the Indian Army.

Earlier on Friday, the NDA’s 140th Course Convocation was held at Habibullah Hall. The ceremony was the Chief Guest to Lieutenant General DB Shekatkar (Retd.), Sikkim University.

During this period, 215 candidates were awarded degrees from Jawaharlal Nehru University.

Of these, 48 cadets were from the science stream, 93 were from computer science and 74 were from cadet arts. On this occasion, degrees were also awarded to 18 candidates from friendly countries.
