Air Force plane reached Delhi carrying 78 passengers from Afghanistan, copies of Guru Granth Sahib were also brought.

The situation in Afghanistan is deteriorating after the capture of the Taliban. Amidst the chaos at Kabul airport, India is constantly trying to evacuate its people from there.

At the same time, an Air Force plane carrying 78 passengers including 25 Indian nationals has reached New Delhi from Dushanbe in Tajikistan.

Apart from this, three copies of Guru Granth Sahib have also been brought by plane.

Union Minister Hardeep Singh brought the forms of Guru Granth Sahib from Puri Kabul out of Delhi airport.

The Indian Ministry of External Affairs has said that the government is committed to the safe return of all Indian nationals from Afghanistan.

It is not easy to evacuate Indians as well as citizens of Afghanistan amidst the current situation in Kabul and the chaos at the airport.

The biggest problem is to take them to the airport. Despite all these challenges, India has so far been successful in evacuating more than 800 people from there.

These include Afghan Hindus and Sikhs as well as Nepali citizens.

Earlier, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Arindam Bagchi had said on Twitter that people were being evacuated from Kabul.

Bagchi tweeted, ‘Helping for a safe return from Afghanistan. Air India’s 1956 flight is coming from Dushanbe to Delhi carrying 78 passengers, including 25 Indian nationals.

Passengers onboard the flight thanked the Indian government for its safe return from Afghanistan.

During this, people also raised slogans of ‘Wahe Guru Da Khalsa, Wahe Guru Di Fateh’ in the aircraft.

Earlier, Indian officials, Monday evacuated 75 Sikhs amid the deteriorating situation in war-torn Afghanistan.

The situation in Afghanistan continues to worsen as people rush to leave the country since the Taliban came under control last week.

The country’s government fell soon after President Ashraf Ghani left the country on August 15.
