Ajmer Dargah Khadim Gauhar Chishti Arrested

Ajmer Dargah Khadim Gauhar Chishti arrested from Hyderabad, will be presented in Ajmer court today. He had threatened Nupur Sharma.

Chishti was arrested from Hyderabad on Thursday and brought to Ajmer under heavy security from the Jaipur airport.

Gauhar Chishti and his associate Munawwar were taken to Kishanganj police station in Ajmer and will be produced in court this morning.

Ajmer Additional SP Vikas Sangwan said, “Gauhar Chishti was arrested by the police from Hyderabad, Telangana.

He had raised objectionable slogans outside the dargah on June 17. Gauhar Chishti and his associate were brought from Hyderabad to Jaipur airport.

Chishti gave a provocative statement against Nupur Sharma.

Sarwar Chishti said, ‘It is my desire to see peace and harmony in the country. I want the people of both communities to live in peace and harmony.

Gauhar Chishti is the nephew of Sarwar Chishti. He raised the slogan ‘Sar Tan Se Juda’ outside Ajmer Sharif Dargah.
