Voting will be held in eight seats in Bihar, with over 60,000 security forces ensuring a peaceful election process.

More than 60 thousand security forces have been deployed in this phase. Apart from this, more than 18 thousand home guards have also been deployed for election duty.
After the election violence in Chapra, a special vigil is being maintained in Maharajganj. Internet media is also being closely monitored in the respective districts at the level of police headquarters.
Instructions have been given to immediately remove any kind of objectionable post, or misleading news and take legal action against the concerned.
According to the Police Headquarters, special security arrangements have been made for the sixth phase of elections also. At each booth, armed security personnel are present.
So far, voting has taken place simultaneously on four seats in the first phase while on five seats each in the other four phases.
This time the challenge for the police administration is even greater because voting is taking place simultaneously in almost double the area.
While Valmikinagar, West Champaran and Sheohar Lok Sabha constituencies share borders with Nepal, Valmikinagar, West Champaran, Gopalganj, Siwan and Maharajganj Lok Sabha constituencies share borders with neighboring state Uttar Pradesh.
Apart from this, voting is also to be held in Vaishali and East Champaran Lok Sabha constituencies. SSB personnel have been deployed on the Nepal border.
Along the border, more checkposts have also been built. Joint patrolling is also being done with Nepalese security forces.
Apart from this, special checking of vehicles is being done by creating additional inter-state and inter-district check posts for voting.
To ensure peaceful voting, the police administration has made arrangements for surveillance by horse squads in remote areas and boats for river areas.
Apart from this, monitoring will also be done through drones. Security forces have also been provided with satellite phones, bomb disposal squads, and wireless sets.
Instructions have been issued to deal sternly with anyone causing any form of voting hindrance.
