Amarnath Yatra 2021: Amarnath Yatra Can Set New Records

Amarnath Yatra 2021: Amarnath Yatra can set new records this time, will walk only 13.25 km.

Last year, devotees who were deprived of visiting Baba Amarnath Ji due to the situation arising out of Corona infection will be overwhelmed by the facilities on the journey route when they come this time.

Special care will be taken of the devotees to make the journey easier. Jammu and Kashmir administration is busy making the trip memorable. Special attention will be given to health, communication, and cleanliness.

There will also be more good arrangements for the langar. For the first time, we have tried to reduce the distance between Baba Barfani and devotees by making free arrangements for a battery car.

Also, the number of devotees visiting the building every day has also been increased by 25 percent. With this, it is hoped that the yatra may touch new records as well.

However, it will also depend on the weather. This time the journey of Baba Amarnath Ji starts from 28th June.

It will run till 22 August on the day of Rakshabandhan. The journey will be from both Baltal and Pahalgam routes. Registration for the trip will start on April 1.

According to a member of the Shri Amarnath Shrine Board, the entire effort of the board is to bring the maximum number of devotees to visit Baba Barfani.

That is why arrangements are being made on a large scale. Shrine Board officials believe that lakhs of devotees have been deprived of traveling in the last two years.

In such a situation, if the weather supports, then this year the journey can break all the records. In the year 1989, about 12 thousand devotees visited Baba Amarnathji’s yatra.

Amarnath Yatra 2021: After this, the number of devotees increased steadily. Then in 22 years, this figure has crossed six lakhs. In the year 2011, 6.34 lakh devotees visited Baba Barfani, which is still a record.

However, there was a steady decrease in travel thereafter. Sometimes the weather was affected due to bad weather and sometimes due to the bad condition of Kashmir.

In 2016, the figure could reach only 2.20 lakhs. It was the lowest in the past decade. The yatra was terminated prematurely on August 5, 2019, due to the reorganization of Jammu and Kashmir and the abolition of Article 370.

At the same time, last year there was no travel due to corona infection. This facility will entice devotees to visit Baba Amarnath for the first time after becoming a Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.

In such a situation, Shri Amarnath Shrine Board and Lieutenant Governor Administration are taking all possible steps to make the Yatra a success.

There will be a journey from both Pahalgam and Baltal routes. The route to Baltal is only 16 kilometers. Traveling through this route can be returned in one day after visiting the holy cave.

This time the Amarnath Shrine Board has reduced this distance further. The battery car will run for 2.75 km out of 16 kilometers. That is, now the journey of 13.25 km will have to be covered on foot.

The arrangement of the battery car is free from both sides between Baltal to Domail and Dommel to Baltal.

Not only this, both routes are expected to travel even more than the 20 thousand passengers allowed to go instead of 15 thousand this time.
