Amazon India Will Soon Announce New Job Opportunities

Amazon India will soon announce new job opportunities, with 1.1 lakh people given employment before the festive season.

Amazon India, which is a leading e-commerce platform in India, is soon going to create 8,000 new job opportunities.

This was announced by Amazon recently during its first career day in India. Amazon India has expressed its commitment to creating 1 million new jobs in the country by the year 2025.

Amazon India has also created over 1.1 lakh seasonal jobs across its operational network ahead of the festive season.

The leading online shopping company made this information available on Thursday.

With cities like Mumbai, Delhi, Pune, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Lucknow, and Chennai, the company has directly and indirectly employed people across the country.

The company said, “Most of the new employees have joined Amazon’s existing network of affiliates. These employees are tasked with taking on, packing, shipping, and delivering customer orders.

The new workforce also includes customer service associates, some of whom are part of the virtual customer service model.”

Akhil Saxena, Vice President, Customer Supply Operations and APAC, MENA, and LATAM, Amazon, said, “During the festive season, customers across the country rely on Amazon for the safe, reliable, and fast delivery of their shopping orders.”

An additional workforce of over 110,000 will help us strengthen our fulfillment, distribution, and customer service capabilities.

In the year 2021, Amazon India has expanded its fulfillment and delivery network and now the company has over 60 fulfillment centers in 15 states across the country.
