America needs to understand, India’s old relationship with Russia: Admiral John Aquilino.

A top US admiral has said that the United Nations needs to understand that India has an old relationship with Russia on security cooperation and military equipment.

He said that India needs to be encouraged to move away from Moscow instead of following the path of sanctions for the purchase of major defense equipment.

Admiral John Aquilino attended the Senate Armed Services Committee hearing to confirm his deployment to the position of Commander of the US Indo-Pacific Command.

He said this while answering a question by Senator Jean Shaheen on India’s decision to buy the S-400 missile system from Russia.
