A Delhi court has ordered a probe against former Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh in the CBI’s preliminary investigation leak case.

The court has directed the CBI to investigate the role of Deshmukh.

Let us inform you that the investigation of the allegations of recovery against Anil Deshmukh is going on. Deshmukh was allegedly given a clean chit in the preliminary CBI probe.

The court said that even though Deshmukh may not have been named as an accused in the CBI charge sheet, he could be part of a larger conspiracy as he seems to have benefited the most from the leak of preliminary investigation material.

The court has asked the CBI to file a status report within four weeks without fail.
