Approval For Construction Of Flats For Kashmiri Pandit Employees

Approval for construction of flats for Kashmiri displaced employees, 304 flats to be built in Kulgam and Budgam.

The Department of Disaster Management, Relief, Rehabilitation, and Reconstruction has approved the provision of temporary housing facilities for Kashmiri displaced workers under the Prime Minister’s Package.

Referring to the decision of the Administrative Council dated 29 January 2022, the department has approved the construction of the flat at a cost of Rs 89.82 crore.

Under the order issued, 208 flats will be built on thirty kanals of land at Vesu in Kulgam. Which will cost Rs 64.62 crore. 96 flats will be built on 15 Kanal land in the Sheikhpora of Budgam.

25.20 crore will be spent on these. Under administrative approval, all the formalities and set rules will have to be completed. Clearance will be ensured for the project work.

The project has to be completed within the stipulated time and its cost will not be increased. E-tendering will be adopted while completing the project.

The land will be available for this. The Public Works Department will have to complete the technical formalities. There will be no change in DPR.

Before completing the work, the design of each product will have to be passed by the concerned authorities.

The project will be considered complete only after the sewerage disposal work is completed.

The physical and financial progress of the project will have to be given to the administrative department on the 5th of every month.

96 flats will be built on 15 Kanal land in the Sheikhpora of Budgam. 25.20 crore will be spent on these. Under administrative approval, all the formalities and set rules will have to be completed.

Clearance will be ensured for the project work. Tenders for the project will be floated online. There will be no change in DPR.

Its cost will not be increased. The land will be available for the project. Along with this, the Public Works Department will have to complete the technical formalities.
