Arms Recovered From Poonch’s Mendhar In Jammu

Arms recovered from Poonch’s Mendhar under the guise of three overground workers.

The Jammu and Kashmir Police have recovered a third consecutive consignment of arms on the trail of three Overground Workers (OGWs) of terrorists arrested on December 28 in the Mendhar area of ​​Poonch district.

The terrorists were trying to spoil the communal harmony by targeting the religious places of the region with these weapons.

Senior Superintendent of Police, Poonch, Ramesh Angral said that a large consignment of arms was found during a search operation in Dabbi village near LoC in Balakot on Sunday morning.

The SSP said that on December 28, three militants’ helpers Mustafa Khan son Yasir Khan resident Galuta, Mohammad Yasin son Vilayat Khan, and Rais Ahmed son Mohammad Iqbal resident Dabbi Balakot resident were arrested on December 28.

After rigorous interrogation of these three, a police team with the help of Zardari Zaheer Jaffrey, SDPO of Mendhar and army, has conducted a search operation in Dabbi village and recovered a pistol, three magazines, 35 bullets, and five grenades.

The SSP said that this is the third major seizure of weapons after spotting the helpers of the captured terrorists.

He said that the terrorist organization Jammu and Kashmir Ghaznavi Force is active in Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir. This terrorist organization mainly targets religious places.

The three helpers of the captured militants also confessed that the purpose of the terrorists was to spoil mutual communal harmony by making grenade attacks in temples located in Poonch and other religious places of Jammu division.

In the first batch on December 28, six grenades were recovered from the three terrorists captured. Which were to be used to target the religious places of Ari and Mendhar in Poonch district.

The second consignment was found in Dabbi village. Two pistols, 70 rounds, and two grenades were recovered in it.

In all, 13 grenades, three pistols, five pistol magazines, 105 rounds, four Pakistan-made balloons.

Tehrik-ul Mujahideen flag of Jammu and Kashmir and 18 posters of the Jammu and Kashmir Ghaznavi Force have been recovered so far.
