Army Chief General Manoj Mukund Narwane Visited Leh

Army Chief General Manoj Mukund Narwane has visited Leh amidst ongoing tension with China on the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in eastern Ladakh. Here he is taking stock of the security situation and senior field commanders are briefing him on the current status of LAC.

During his two-day visit, the army chief will also review the preparations of the soldiers who have been holding a front against the Chinese troops for the past three months.

Let us know that recently amidst tension from China, Union Defense Minister Rajnath Singh and Army Chief General Manoj Mukund Narvane visited Leh along the Line of Actual Control to review the security situation in East Ladakh. The Defense Minister had reviewed the confrontation and military deployment of the LAC with local military commanders during the visit to Ladakh.

Meanwhile, ITBP jawans hoisted tricolor on 22,222 feet high Leo Pargil peak. The 16-member team was flagged off from Shimla on 20 August with a code-named warrior. The Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) personnel hoisted the tricolor on Leo Pargil, the highest Himalayan peak of Himachal Pradesh during the Corona period.

Its height is 22,222 feet. Leo Pargil is the third highest peak in Himachal Pradesh and is considered to be the most challenging and technically difficult climb. ITBP personnel did this adventure on 31 August.

Deputy commandant Kuldeep Singh was leading this challenging expedition of the ITBP mountaineering team. The contingent also included Head Constable Pradeep Negi, Ashish Negi, Constable Pradeep Negi, and Kako Kedarta. Please tell that Pradeep Negi has managed to reach here for the second time. He has climbed Mount Everest twice before.

Long live Mother India!

Significantly, Leo Pargil is considered one of the most difficult and technical peaks of India. The jawans on the expedition were trained for this. The 16-member team was flagged off from Shimla on 20 August with the code name ‘Yoddha’. This hard snow-capped peak is located in Lahaul Spiti district. The amount of oxygen here is very high.
