Army Chief Narwane said – Information security is a big challenge for national security.

Addressing an event organized online at a college in Nagpur, Maharashtra, titled National Security Scenario: Past, Present, and Future, General Narwane said that national security is not limited to armed security alone but is on six other important pillars Is also based.

Referring to the non-traditional risks facing national security, he said that in the current perspective, information security is the biggest challenge facing national security.

The army chief said that nowadays data of government and private sector is available online. In such a situation, a major cyberattack can give a major blow to the economy as well as damage to the government machinery.

General Mohanty The newly appointed Deputy Army Chief, Lieutenant General Chandi Prasad Mohanty, said on Thursday that coordination among the three forces is being done to establish a joint theater command.

On January 31, the head of the Southern Command, Lieutenant General Mohanty, will take over as Deputy Chief in place of Lieutenant General SK Saini.

Saini is retiring on the same day. Speaking to reporters, Lieutenant General Mohanty said that right now we are working in different fields but when needed we better coordinate our resources

The ninth round of talks between India-China military commanders continue talks going on for about two months

The ninth round of talks between the core commanders of the two countries is being held today in view of the ongoing tension between India and China on the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in eastern Ladakh.

Along with core commanders, foreign ministry officials are also reported to be involved in the talks. The talks are being held at the Moldo border point in front of the Chushul sector in the Indian border near the LAC, which is under China’s control.

Tensions between India and China have continued since May 2020. In view of this, till now eight rounds of talks have been held at the military level, but nothing concrete has been achieved so far.

After almost two months, military-level talks are once again taking place between the two sides. The eighth round of talks was last held in Chushul on November 6, 2020.

This was followed by level talks of the Ministry of External Affairs on 18 December 2020. It is believed that today’s meeting will review the steps taken during the previous meetings with the demands made from each other.
