Army Chief Said- Important Lesson Learned From Ladakh Standoff

Army chief said- an important lesson learned from the Ladakh standoff, keep security preparedness tight at all times.

Army Chief General Manoj Pandey said that a big lesson has been learned from the border standoff with China in eastern Ladakh that one should keep their security preparedness tight at all times.

This includes improving operational preparedness and infrastructure to a higher level. He said this in response to a question during the discussion at the ‘India Defense Conclave’.

What is the next step after the recent withdrawal of Indian and Chinese troops from ‘Patrolling Point 15’ at Gogra-Hotspring in eastern Ladakh, when asked by the host?

On this, General Pandey said that ‘we have made progress in terms of the withdrawal of troops from the standoff points.

We still have two standoff points where we need to make progress. I am sure we will find a solution to these impasse points.

When asked about the situation in Jammu and Kashmir, the Army Chief said that “the situation in Jammu and Kashmir is completely under control”.

As a result, many positive things have come to the fore. Apart from this, the level of violence has come down significantly.

Incidents of protests or stone-pelting have come down in the interior of the Valley. He said infiltration on the LoC has come down.

Significantly, the eastern Ladakh border standoff started on May 5, 2020, after violent clashes in the Pangong Lake areas.

On September 12, Indian and Chinese armies withdrew their troops from Patrolling Point 15 in the Gogra-Hotsprings area in eastern Ladakh and destroyed temporary infrastructure there in a five-day operation.

But still, no progress has been made on resolving the deadlock in Demchok and Depsang areas.

Hybrid War: India should be ready for hybrid war, why did the Air Force Chief say so?

Air Chief Marshal Vivek Ram Chaudhari said on Tuesday that the atmosphere in our neighborhood is far from ideal. So we should be ready for hybrid war (war).

He said that for this we have to have a technical edge over our opponents. Economic progress needs to be linked to domestic military capabilities.
