Army Day 2021: Army Chief’s strong message to China and Pakistan, say – do not test our patience. The Indian Army is celebrating its 73rd Foundation Day today.
On this occasion, Army Chief General MM Narwane warned China and Pakistan that we are committed to finding solutions to our disputes through discussion and political efforts, but no one should make the mistake of testing our patience. He also said in the meantime that you are aware of the ongoing tension with China on all the northern borders.
There was a strong response to a conspiracy to unilaterally change the borders. He assured the country that the sacrifices of the brave Bravan would not go in vain. Army Chief General Narwane also said that last year, the army has wiped out more than 200 militants near the LoC and in counter-terrorism operations.
Around 300-400 militants are sitting in training camps near the border to infiltrate the Indian border. Last year, the number of ceasefire violations increased by 44 percent, reflecting Pakistan’s nefarious intentions. Army Chief General Narwane, in his address, said that the Army is taking concrete steps towards its modernization.
Under the emergency and fast-track schemes, the Army purchased equipment worth around Rs 5,000 crore and last year under capital purchase Rs 13,000 crore. Earlier, CDS General Bipin Rawat, Army Chief General MM Narwane, Indian Air Force Chief Air Chief Marshal RKS Bhadauria, and Navy Chief Admiral Karambir Singh paid tributes at the National War Memorial.
During this, the army chief inspected the parade at the Cariappa Ground. Five soldiers were posthumously awarded the Army Medal During the Army Day Parade 2021, five Army personnel were posthumously awarded the Army Medal for showing valor in various operations.
Naik Sandeep of 10 Para Special Forces Unit was posthumously awarded the Army Medal for killing two terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir and saving the life of his squad commander.
