Army has increased the number of beds with oxygen facility in its hospitals. The number of oxygen beds in military hospitals was four thousand, own supply in 93 percent
The Army has increased the number of beds with oxygen facility in its hospitals to four thousand, in view of the severe condition of Covid in the country.
It took six weeks to increase the number of beds in the Military Hospital and Command Hospital from 1,800 to 4,000 with oxygen facilities.
Out of these, in 93 percent of the hospitals, the army is supplying oxygen to be made in its generation plant. This information was given by Army Chief General MM Narwane.
General Narwane said that the army has increased its medical facilities in the last six weeks. During this period, the army has increased the number of its oxygen storage plant from 24 to 42.
Due to this, our own produced oxygen is being used in 93 percent of the army hospitals. The number of corona-infected patients in the military is decreasing.
All our young men who have been infected are recovering very fast. In this sense, we are in a relaxed state.
A large number of those who got infected were those who came to their homes on holiday and got infected there due to some reason.
The army chief said that the corona troops deployed on our front fronts have not been infected. Because our jawan reached the border area from outside, he was given a deployment after checking in three phases.
That is why we stand firmly on the borders with Pakistan and China. General Narwane said that 90 percent of the army personnel have been vaccinated.
Only 0.04 percent of the officers and employees were infected after vaccination. Very few of them needed to be admitted to the hospital for treatment.
Responding to a question, the Army Chief said that the retired soldiers are also being treated with utmost seriousness in the army hospitals and they are also recovering fast.
