Army increasing the scope of service for the people, steps taken towards expansion of Covid centers: Jammu Kashmir.

The Northern Command of the Army is expanding its scope to serve Awam facing the challenge of Corona in Jammu and Kashmir.

After arranging 490 beds with all facilities in their Covid centers till now, the army is now taking action towards the expansion of the Covid centers after the ex-servicemen, heroic women, their families.

In such a situation, the Army has increased 150 beds in Jammu’s Covid Care Center along with Rangreth in Srinagar.

By now, the Army had expanded the Covid Care Center at Domana, Jammu, with a 250-bed Covid Care Center at Rangreth, Srinagar, and made 200 beds in it.

Army increasing the scope of service: Lt. Governor Manoj Sinha, in a meeting with the Army last day, insisted on arranging 100 extra beds in the 100-bed Kovid Center in Domana.

With this, the Northern Command of the Army has also built 20-bed Covid Care Centers in Baramulla and Uri in Kashmir.

Lt Col Abhinav Navneet, the PRO of the Northern Command of the Army, says that the Army is currently using its medical resources appropriately.

In this situation, every effort is being made that ex-servicemen, heroic women, their families along with people from remote areas are also working towards protecting the corona from infection.

In such a situation, with the support of the civil administration, the Army is in action to transport the necessary medical supplies from one place to another.

Coronavirus in Jammu: retired doctors join, DRDO hospital also got set up

The Department of Health and Medical Education had asked the retired doctors to join the contract for one year, in view of the staff falling short in Covid.

After this, some retired doctors have started joining. However, many have agreed to serve online only now.

According to information received from the Department of Health and Medical Education, only about fifteen doctors have joined so far. Others have announced online services. At the same time, some have refused to give services.

DRDO hospital set up: DRDO is building a 500-bed capacity Covid hospital in Bhagwati Nagar, Jammu. Within three days, the structure of the hospital is ready around twenty percent.

Jammu Mayor Chandramohan Gupta and Deputy Mayor Purnama Sharma reached Bhagwati Nagar and also took stock of the ongoing construction work of the hospital.

He expressed satisfaction on this. He said that the construction of the hospital would greatly benefit Covid’s patients in Jammu.

He also assured full cooperation on behalf of Jammu Municipal Corporation in the construction of the hospital. The hospital is expected to be ready this month.
