Sources say that after Atiq’s death, his son Ali wept bitterly in front of fellow prisoners. Ali is upset after his father’s death and has not eaten food from him since last night.

According to information, Atiq’s son Ali is lodged in Naini Central Jail in Prayagraj, UP. He was arrested and sent to jail in a case of extortion in the year 2021.

In March, the Allahabad High Court rejected Ali Ahmed’s bail application. The court had said that releasing him on bail would be a danger “not only to the witnesses” but also to society.

Ali is the second son of Atiq Ahmed and has 6 criminal cases registered against him. Ali himself surrendered in July 2022, and after that, he is in jail.

Ali himself is accused of demanding extortion of Rs 5 crore from a relative and assaulting him. After Atiq and Ashraf went to jail, the responsibility for extortion and recovery was on Ali.

Shaista and Atiq Ahmed were married in the year 1996. Both have a total of five children, out of which two are minors. Out of five sons of Atiq-Shaista, 2 are lodged in jail and 2 in a juvenile home.

One son Asad Ahmed was killed in a police encounter. Atiq’s wife Shaista is absconding and her search is on.
