Attack on CM office in Meghalaya: 18 including BJP leaders arrested.

Police have launched a manhunt to arrest two Trinamool Congress leaders accused of inciting a mob to attack the office on Monday night. The police quickly found the accused.

The injured officers were taken to the hospital and are now out of danger. Police fired tear gas and used a lathi charge to disperse the crowd.

At the same time, guidelines were issued to close educational institutions in the Tura city area as a precautionary measure.

Broadband ban partially lifted in Manipur, ban on mobile internet to continue.

The Manipur government has partially restored the internet in the violence-hit state.

The suspension has been conditionally lifted by the state government on July 25 (Tuesday), almost three months after banning broadband internet due to caste violence.

The government said in an order that only those people who have a static IP connection can access the internet in a limited way.
