Australian Open 2021: Dominic Thiem Statement On Quarantine

Australian Open 2021: Dominic Thiem says quarantine in Adelaide is no different from Melbourne.

World number three Dominic Thiem said there is no greater benefit for players who self-isolate in Adelaide than in conditions in Melbourne, where a large number of players are spending a 14-day quarantine period before the Australian Open.

Tennis Australia chief executive Craig Tilley said earlier this week that top players were sent to Adelaide to ensure that there were no more people than the limit set by the organizers in Quarantine in Melbourne.

Some people living in isolation in Melbourne have alleged that the organizers have taken care of their favorite top players, while Thiem said there is no difference between the two places.

The Austrian player said, ‘It is convenient for me to be in Adelaide, but it is not a big advantage. We are getting as much time for practice as anyone in Melbourne.

However, here we are few players. If we compare players who are not in strict quarantine, then we are almost in the same situation.
