Awantipora Grenade Attack: Grenade attack on Tral bus stand, 8 injured; 3rd grenade attack in 3 days.
Terrorists hurled grenades at Tral Bus Stand in Awantipora, South Kashmir District Pulwama, 8 people have been injured in this attack.
After the attack, the terrorists managed to escape from the scene. This is the third grenade attack in the valley within the last three days. 9 people including a CRPF jawan have been injured in all these attacks.
According to the information received from the police, at the Tral bus stand in Awantipora, this grenade was thrown by the terrorists targeting the CRPF soldiers.
The accident occurred around 11.20 am. The grenade fell on the road on the other side, not falling on the target. Due to its grip, about 8 people passing through there were seriously injured.
After the grenade burst, chaos spread in the chaos at the bus stand. People started screaming. Meanwhile, taking advantage of the opportunity, the attacking terrorists fled from there.
Meanwhile, the security forces immediately took the injured to the nearest hospital with the help of locals.
At the same time, additional troops of SOG, Army, and CRPF reached the spot and started searching for the attackers while sieging the area.
This is the third grenade attack in the Kashmir Valley within the last three days. Last Friday evening, terrorists carried out a grenade attack near the SSB camp in Chanpora, a bypass area of Srinagar.
However, there was no loss in this attack. According to officials, the terrorists attacked the grenade camp at the SSB’s 14 battalion camp.
Soon after receiving the information about the grenade attack, the security forces conducted a search operation while sieging the area but no attackers were found.
A day before that, on the last Thursday ie, in the Sangam area of district Anantnag, the terrorists fired a UBGL grenade targeting the patrol of the 90 battalion of CRPF.
The CRPF jawan was injured in this attack. He was immediately rushed to the nearest hospital. Where his condition is now being told better.
Police say that they have been duped by the tightening grip of the security forces on the militants in the Kashmir Valley.
That is why they have increased their attacks targeting the security forces.
It is also learned that their handlers in Pakistan have given clear instructions to them that they should not even care about the presence of common people during these attacks.
This is the reason why common people are also being targeted in terrorist attacks.
