Balakot Air Strike & Article 370: Government Gave Information. The government gave information on the leaking of chat on the removal of Balakot Air Strike and Article 370 in Parliament.

The central government on Tuesday informed the Lok Sabha that it had no information about the leaking of WhatsApp chats related to other confidential and sensitive subjects, including the abolition of Article 370.

During the investigation of the TRP scam by Mumbai Police, the leaks of WhatsApp chat related to the abolition of Article 370 were revealed.

In a written reply to this question, Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Kishan Reddy said, “There is no such information in the cognizance of the government.”

Reddy was asked whether the government had taken cognizance of the leak of WhatsApp chat on confidential and sensitive information.

It may be noted that several opposition parties, including the aggressive Congress, sought to punish the people involved in the Balakot air strike prior to sharing the information.

Former Defense Minister AK Antony said that sharing information about sensitive military operations is not only a violation of government secrecy law but treason.

The Congress had announced to raise this issue in Parliament as revealed by the leaked WhatsApp chat.

The government got 26 thousand crores by selling a stake in defense undertakings.

In six defense sector PSUs, the government reduced its stake and earned Rs 26,457 crore in the last five years. Minister of State for Defense Shripad Naik gave this information to the Rajya Sabha on Monday.

In response to a question, Naik said that the highest amount of Rs 14,184 crore was raised by selling a stake in Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL).

While Rs 8,073 crore was raised from Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL). Similarly, Rs 2,371 crore was reduced by raising a stake in Bharat Dynamics Limited (BDL).

Additionally, the funds were collected by selling the stakes of Alloy Corporation Limited, Garden Reach Shipbuilders & Engineering Limited, and Mazgaon Dock Shipbuilders Limited.
