Baramulla Encounter: One Terrorist Was Killed By Security Forces

Baramulla Encounter: One terrorist was killed by security forces in the Baramulla encounter, and two soldiers and one policeman were injured in the encounter.

While taking timely action on the terrorists planning to attack Baramulla, the security forces have killed one. There is no sound of firing from the encounter site now.

The security forces have launched a search operation in search of the terrorists. The slain terrorist is yet to be identified but he is said to be a local.

The number of terrorists hiding in the area was said to be two. Official sources say that after the killing of one terrorist, there was firing for some time but after that, the firing stopped.

The search operation of the army is going on in search of another terrorist hiding in the area.

Two army personnel and one police personnel were also reported injured in the encounter. the injured were admitted to the nearest hospital. An army sleuth was also killed in the cross-firing.

Security forces say that if other terrorists are present in the area, then they will also be found and killed. The three security personnel injured in the encounter have been admitted to a nearby hospital.

According to the information received from the police, some terrorists hiding in Wanigam Bala of district Baramulla were planning to target the security forces.

The police got information about this in time. SOG personnel reached the area along with a joint team of Army and CRPF and started searching for the terrorists.

When these terrorists hiding in a house saw the security forces coming near them, they started firing on them.

The security forces, while assuming their position, first asked the terrorists to surrender, but when they did not agree, they also started firing in response.

Police sources say that the area where these terrorists were hiding is residential. Lots of people live around.

Ensuring the safety of the common people, the security personnel retaliated against the terrorist’s firing and killing one of the terrorists.
