Bharat Biotech Covaxin’s First Consignment Reached Delhi

Bharat Biotech Covaxin’s First consignment reached Delhi from Hyderabad, transported to RGSSH. The first consignment of indigenous vaccine ‘Covaxin’ made by the Indian Council of Medical Research and Bharat Biotech has also reached Delhi from Hyderabad.

The vaccine was brought to Indira Gandhi International Airport at 9 am by Air India flight. After this, twenty thousand doses of corona vaccine were rushed to Rajiv Gandhi Super Specialty Hospital (RGSSH).

RGSSH Director BL Sherwal has confirmed the first shipment. Bharat Biotech’s Kovaxin has been flown from Hyderabad to Delhi by Air India flight.

Bharat Biotech aims to send about 55 lakh vaccines to 11 states in the initial phase, including Delhi, Bengaluru, Lucknow, Chennai, and Jaipur. Earlier on Tuesday, the first shipment of Corona’s vaccine Kovishield arrived.

From here, a 39.4 km long green corridor was built by the traffic police to transport the vaccine to the state storage center at the Rajiv Gandhi Super Specialty Hospital located in the East Delhi area. It took 52 minutes to reach the vaccine container from the Green Corridor to the hospital.

The vaccine container came out of the airport’s T-72 terminal at 2.17 pm.

It reached Rajiv Gandhi Hospital at 3.9 am. The red light falling on the green corridor is kept open The Deputy Commissioner of Traffic Police of Southern Range Surendra Chaudhary said that a green corridor is built to deliver the required items quickly to save the life of a patient.

This is mostly done at the time of heart transplant and kidney transplant. During this time all the red lights falling on the route of the Green Corridor are kept open. Also, traffic police personnel are deployed so that traffic is not obstructed at the intersections.

The traffic police keep sending information about the location of the vehicle passing through the Green Corridor to the circles related to their control room, from which they control the traffic on time and evacuate the vehicle.
