India has taken a big decision amid tensions with China. The security forces are now empowered to prepare a stock of arms and ammunition for 15 days of the war.

More than Rs 50,000 crore will be spent for the acquisition of defense equipment and ammunition from local and foreign sources.

Indian Defense Ministry using this new right and emergency procurement powers amid a continuing conflict with China in eastern Ladakh.

This step is being seen in the direction of strong preparations with the possibility of a two-front war with China and Pakistan. Until now, the army had the freedom to deposit stock for the 10-day war.

Government sources told the news agency that many weapons systems and ammunition are now being acquired to prepare stock for a 15-day war with the enemy.

Stocking will now be up to 15 days instead of 10 days. He said that the approval to increase the stock limit for defense forces was given some time back.

The Armed Forces were allowed to hold stock for the first 40-day war, but this was reduced to 10 days due to the difficulties in the storage of weapons and ammunition, as well as the changing nature of the war.

After the Uri attack, it was felt that the stock for war was low and the then Manohar Parikar-led Ministry of Defense increased the financial powers of the Vice Presidents of the Army, Navy, and Air Force from Rs 100 crore to Rs 500 crore.

Amidst the border dispute with India, China is strengthening its troops more.

For the last 8 months, China has left its troops and weapons on the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in Ladakh.

In this connection, China has given them a special kind of suit, so that the body of the soldiers will remain steely. It is being called the Iron Man or the Exjoskelton suit.

China has made all preparations to stand across Ladakh. Meanwhile, the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) has made its soldiers Iron-Man.

There are reports that this is a special suit that will protect the soldiers in cold areas and they will be able to execute the mission.
