Big upset in Nandigram, Suvendu defeated Mamta by 1957 votes, awaiting the official announcement of Election Commission.

In the Bengal assembly elections, there has been a big upsurge in the fierce competition between the most high-profile Nandigram seat.

First came the news that Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee won from here by 1,200 votes. But, meanwhile, it is now reported that BJP leader Suvendu Adhikari has won here by 1957 votes.

However, the Election Commission has not yet officially announced it. Earlier, when asked questions about Nandigram during the press conference just now.

Big upset in Nandigram: Mamta herself said that the decision of the people of Nandigram is acceptable.

However, Mamta did not say clearly that she had lost here. Mamta said- Forget it, Nandigram. We live all over Bengal.

It is worth mentioning that since the counting of votes in the morning, there was a contest of thorns in this seat. Sometimes Mamta and sometimes Suvendu were leading here.

Earlier in the 16th round, Mamata fell behind in Nandigram by six votes. After this, in the 17th and final round, it was reported that Mamta defeated Suvendu Adhikari by 1200 votes.

But, meanwhile, there is news that Suvendu has finally won this seat.

Actually, the result of the Nandigram seat was eyeing the entire country and the world. Mamta played a big bet, leaving her traditional Bhawanipur seat in Kolkata, this time deciding to fight Nandigram.

For Mamata, this seat had become a matter of prestige. Here he was once his ally and was with the strong leader Suvendu Adhikari, who left Trinamool and joined BJP just before the assembly elections.

Nandigram is considered to be the stronghold of Suvendu Adhikari. Earlier in 2016, Suvendu won from Nandigram.

The BJP had given full force to defeat Mamta in Nandigram. From Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Home Minister Amit Shah, there was a rally and roadshow here.

Here, Suvendu has proved his kingship here by defeating Mamta in Nandigram.

Despite Trinamool’s sweeping victory in Bengal, Mamata’s defeat to Nandigram is a big setback for Trinamool. This is also the biggest defeat in Mamata’s political life, as she has lost to Suvendu, her commander-in-chief.

Please tell that in the former Medinipur district, including Nandigram, the officer family is considered to be very dominant.

Suvendu’s father Shishir Adhikari and brother Divyendu Adhikari are also MPs from Kanthi and Tamluk seats in this district.

Let us tell that in 2007, Mamta had led the much talked about Nandigram movement. Due to this movement, Mamata ended 34 years long Left Front rule in Bengal in 2011. But, now they have to face defeat from here.
