Australia’s foreign ministry said in a statement on Wednesday that the two ministers would visit Indonesia, South Korea, and the United States apart from India.

Two plus two talks are going to be held to strengthen the partnership.

The Ministry of External Affairs has said that bilateral, regional, and global issues of mutual interest will be included in the two-plus-two ministerial talks to be held on September 11.

Defense Minister Rajnath Singh and External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar will lead the Indian delegation in the talks.

People familiar with the preparations for the talks said that the two sides are expected to further deepen overall defense and security ties as well as focus on strengthening strategic cooperation in the Indo-Pacific region.

The Ministry of External Affairs has said, ‘During the virtual summit held on June 4, 2020, between the leaders of India and Australia, two plus two talks are going to be held to strengthen the bilateral relationship and overall strategic partnership of the two countries.’
