Inspector-General of Police Vijay Kumar said on Saturday that terrorist Vakil Shah was also among the three Jaish-e-Mohammed terrorists killed in the upper reaches of Tral in district Pulwama.

Sharing this information on his Twitter handle, IGP Vijay Kumar wrote that Jaish-e-Mohammed terrorist Vakil Shah has been killed in today’s encounter.
He was involved in the murder of BJP leader Rakesh Pandita.
You may be aware that on June 2, BJP leader Rakesh Pandit, who was a municipal councilor in Tral, was standing outside his house when three terrorists suddenly attacked him.
He was killed in the attack while another woman standing beside him was injured.

Vakil Shah’s name was also on this list. In this list released by the police, seven terrorists were old, who have been active in the Valley for a long time.
While Vakil Shah’s name was included in the list of three terrorists who recently carried out several major attacks involved in terrorist organizations.
These include terrorists Saqib Manzoor and Umar Mushtaq Khande.
At the same time, a Victor Force officer informed that they had received information about the presence of terrorists in the forests of Nagberin and Dachigam on August 17.
