BJP offered Rs 25 crore to Rajasthan Cong MLAs: Gehlot says attempting Madhya Pradesh story, yet our MLAs ‘alert and united together’.The Congress on Wednesday accused the BJP of endeavors to destabilize the Rajasthan government with Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot asserting that some of the Congress MLAs were offered Rs 25 crore each.

Gehlot’s announcement of BJP offered Rs 25 crores to congress MLA came hours after the Congress took its MLAs to a Jaipur resort for a meeting in wake of the polls to three seats of the Rajya Sabha in the state on June 19. Guaranteeing an overwhelming exchange of money to Jaipur, Gehlot said there were reports about the BJP’s arrangement like that of Madhya Pradesh, and some of the Congress MLAs were offered Rs 25 crore in real money with Rs 10 crore ahead of time.

“The meeting was productive today. The MLAs were approached to go this evening and we will meet again tomorrow,” Gehlot told journalists after the meeting on Wednesday night. AICC general secretary Avinash Pande and the party’s Rajya Sabha applicant from Rajasthan K C Venugopal will likewise stay present in the meeting on Thursday.

State BJP president Satish Poonia said the Congress in Rajasthan is “feeling shaky”. “Their own home isn’t all together. They don’t confide in their MLAs,” Poonia said. Congress has selected KC Venugopal and Neeraj Dangi for the Rajya Sabha polls scheduled for June 19 while the BJP selected Rajendra Gehlot and Onkar Singh Lakhawat.

In the assembly of 200, the Congress has 107 MLAs, including six the individuals who absconded to the gathering from the BSP a year ago. The gathering appreciates the help of 12 of the 13 Free MLAs in the state.
