BJP Yuva Morcha worker Praveen Nettaru was murdered, he was attacked with a sword and axe: Karnataka.

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Yuva Morcha worker Praveen Nettaru was murdered late Tuesday evening in Bellary, Karnataka.

It is being said that some people on the bike attacked him with a sword and axe. Nettaru, a poultry trader, was returning home late in the evening when he was attacked.

The attackers fled after the attack. He was taken to the hospital, but could not be saved.

It is being said that there were three people on the bike. After the incident, workers of BJP and Yuva Morcha staged a sit-in protest against Nettaru’s murder. All these raised slogans of ‘We want justice.

Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai expressed deep condolences to the family members of the BJP leader and assured them that justice would be served soon.

In a tweet in Kannada, he said, “The brutal murder of our party worker Praveen Nettaru from Dakshina Kannada district is condemnable.

The perpetrators of such heinous acts will be arrested soon and punished under the law. May Praveen’s soul rest in peace. May God give strength to his family to bear this loss.

Karnataka Elections 2023: Former Chief Minister’s son Vijayendra said on the candidature, the party will decide my future

Former Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa’s son and state unit vice-president of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) B Y Vijayendra on Monday said he would contest the 2023 state assembly elections if approved by the central leadership.

He said the party leadership would take a decision regarding his candidature at an appropriate time.

Yediyurappa declared him as the candidate for the election from the family stronghold of Shikaripura under pressure from the people, but for this the party’s approval was necessary.

“There is no confusion, my father and former chief minister BS Yediyurappa has a very close relationship with the Shikaripura constituency.”

“So under pressure from party leaders, workers, and people of the area, he made an announcement,” Vijayendra told reporters here. He has also said that the party and its central leadership will decide.
