Blast in Pakistan: One killed, 11 injured in Quetta blast. A grenade explosion in Quetta killed one person and injured at least 11 others, media reports of the incident citing police.

According to the local media report on Thursday, the incident took place at Joint Road in Quetta, Balochistan.

In a similar incident last week, three people, including a policeman, were injured in an explosion outside Turbat Stadium in Quetta.

The news agency quoted a police official as saying that the blast occurred on the city’s Airport Road when a match between two local teams was going on at the football stadium.

According to the leading media house of Pakistan, the explosion was followed by firing which created panic in the stadium.

Blast in Pakistan: Meanwhile, in view of increasing incidents of attacks on police in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Pakistani authorities have tightened security at all check posts and given relief to personnel responsible for security lapses.

According to a news agency, citing a statement issued by a district police officer in Jamrud.

Police personnel was posted at the check post in Arjali Nadi, where a policeman and another person were killed in an attack on July 16 and were shifted to the remote Tirah Valley due to negligence.

DPO Mohammad Imran, along with other security officials, visited various outposts in Bara and issued instructions to the policemen, the statement said.

He also examined the security measures in these buildings.

The policemen on duty were ordered to be vigilant and wear both helmets and bulletproof jackets during duty timings. As per the media report, they were also warned against using mobile phones while on duty.

Meanwhile, Peshawar Capital City Police Chief Ejaz Khan expressed his displeasure over the increasing incidents of terrorism in Khyber and the killing of several policemen in the attacks.

At least four policemen lost their lives and two others were injured in such attacks during the last three to four months. A week ago a post in Tirah was also attacked with grenades.

Earlier, a policeman was killed and four others, including two policemen, were injured in an explosion inside a police check post in Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province’s Mardan district.

In recent months, there have been several cases of bomb attacks in Pakistan.
