Bomb Hurled At RSS Office In Kerala’s Kannur

Bomb hurled at RSS office in Kerala’s Kannur, window panes of building broken in the attack.

A bomb has been hurled at the RSS office in Payyanur, Kannur district of Kerala. According to Payyannur police, the incident happened this morning.

The window panes of the building were broken in the bomb attack. The attack also took place when the local police station is located very close to the RSS office.

This is not the first incident of attack on the RSS office in Payyannur.

Even before this, in the year 2017, in July, there was an incident of vandalism and arson in the RSS office. Then the CPI(M) workers were accused of carrying out this incident.

There is no report of any casualty in the bomb attack. BJP leader Tom Vadakkan in a conversation with a news channel blamed the state administration for its failure to stop such attacks.

Tom Vadakkan said, “It is shocking and unfortunate that the law and order situation in Kerala has deteriorated to the level of throwing bombs at social organizations, and this is not acceptable in a civilized society.”

Even before this, there have been attacks on RSS workers involved in social work.

This type of law and order situation has to be dealt with soon. The police and the state administration are responsible for this. The people of Kerala will not tolerate such incidents.

BJP leader Vadakkan said, “The complicity of the police is extremely dangerous. There are instances where the police station is 100 meters away and still, nothing happens.

In a sensitive district like Kannur, the offices of organizations with opposite ideologies to the ruling CPI(M) should be given special protection.

If this is not done, then it means not just negligence but complicity.

I am sorry to say this, and the state government will be held responsible for any damage caused to the office of any political or social organization in the state.

Earlier on June 24, the Wayanad parliamentary office of Rahul Gandhi was vandalized. The Kerala unit of Congress had accused the workers of the Students Federation of India (SFI) of vandalism.

Congress had said that this incident was carried out with the knowledge of top CPI(M) leaders.

Congress had alleged that the SFI workers continued to vandalize the office and the top district police officers present on the spot remained spectators.
