Bomb Threat Before President Murmu’s Himachal Visit: A bomb threat email has triggered panic in Mandi, Himachal Pradesh, ahead of President Draupadi Murmu’s visit to IIT Mandi. Security agencies and central forces are on high alert as investigations intensify.

Bomb threat creates panic before President Draupadi Murmu’s Himachal visit, security agencies on alert. Just before President Draupadi Murmu’s proposed visit to the Mandi district of Himachal Pradesh, a bomb threat email has alerted security agencies. The email was sent to security agencies claiming a bomb threat against the Deputy Commissioner’s office building. This has created panic among the entire administrative staff.

In view of the President’s proposed visit, preparations have begun to fix the security arrangements afresh. President Draupadi Murmu is scheduled to visit the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Mandi in May. She will inaugurate a two-day international research seminar. Scientists, researchers, professors, and students from the country and abroad will participate in this program. In such a situation, the district administration and security agencies were already engaged in preparations for the President’s arrival.

Central agencies were activated due to a bomb threat

After receiving the bomb threat, the local police, as well as intelligence and central security agencies, have also become alert. Cyber ​​cell has been deployed to investigate the email, so that it can be known who sent the email and from where.

The central security forces have also started reviewing the security arrangements in Mandi. IB (Intelligence Bureau) and officials related to the security of the President are now keeping an eye on every aspect before the visit.

Now the security arrangements will be determined afresh

After this incident, the security strategy already made for the President’s visit to Mandi is being reviewed again. Along with the local administration and police, senior officials of the central forces will now review the security of all the surrounding areas, including IIT Mandi, afresh.

A plan is being worked out for the venue of the program, the President’s accommodation, deployment of additional security forces on the way and crowded areas. The President is scheduled to stay in IIT Mandi for about two to three hours.
