BSF Rescued 20 Exotic Birds Of Rare Species From Smugglers

BSF rescued 20 exotic birds of rare species from the clutches of smugglers: West Bengal.

Under the South Bengal Frontier, Border Security Force (BSF) personnel have rescued 20 exotic birds of rare species from the clutches of the raid near the India-Bangladesh border in the Vijaypur border outpost area of ​​Nadia district.

The seized birds are named Kannur and were being trafficked from Bangladesh to India by illegally crossing the international border.

The statement issued by the BSF stated that on May 2, special information was received from the intelligence wing of BSF regarding the smuggling of foreign birds from the area of ​​Border Out Post Vijaypur, 54th Battalion.

After this, the soldiers of Border Out Post Vijaypur were alerted and special patrolling was carried out in the suspicious area.

At around 7.30 pm, the jawans noticed some suspicious activities of two miscreants from Bangladesh side with cages. On seeing the smugglers, the soldiers immediately challenged and chased them.

But they managed to escape to Bangladesh by taking advantage of the high altitude crops and darkness and throwing away the cage.

After that BSF jawans conducted a thorough search and found a cage in which 20 exotic birds were found. All the rescued birds were then brought to the border outpost-Vijaypur.

The BSF has handed over the seized birds to the Forest Department, District Nadia for further action. Significantly, BSF is taking strict steps to curb wildlife trafficking along the India-Bangladesh border.

Due to which smugglers are experiencing difficulties to carry out their infamous activities in the border area. Many of them are being caught and punished for committing crimes.

West Bengal: Chargesheet presented against two people including BJP leader Rakesh Singh in the drug smuggling case.

In the New Alipore Drugs Trafficking Case, officers of Kolkata Police’s Narcotics Cell have filed a charge sheet against the accused in 74 days.

The names of three people, including BJP leader Pamela Goswami, are not present in the said charge sheet.

However, the name of BJP leader Rakesh Singh is included in the charge sheet. Apart from this, the police have also presented a charge sheet against Amar Raj Singh who was absconding in the case.
