Cabinet decisions: Now a test for government jobs, NRA to take the exam, cane price also increased. The Union Cabinet, led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, met today on Wednesday in which several major decisions were taken. Now there will be only one test for central government jobs.
The Union Cabinet has stamped this. Giving information about these decisions, Union Minister Prakash Javadekar said that there are more than 20 recruitment agencies for government jobs in the country. Many tests have to be given to the youth for a government job. The Union Cabinet has taken a historic decision to end this. The National Recruitment Agency (NRA) will take the Common Eligibility Test, which will benefit millions of youth.
Sugarcane prices also increased
The government has also taken a big decision for one crore sugarcane farmers of the country. The government has approved raising the fair and remunerative (FRP) price of sugarcane by Rs 10 to Rs 285 per quintal. Union Minister Prakash Javadekar has informed about this.
This price of sugarcane has been fixed for the new procurement season starting from October 2020. This price is based on a 10 percent recovery. Even if the recovery is 9.5 percent or less, the sugarcane farmers will get Rs 270 while giving protection to them.
Discoms relief
The government has also decided that the Power Finance Corporation and Rural Electrification Corporation will be given more leeway to give loans to Discoms in excess of their working capital limit. Javadekar said that the government has taken a major decision to give relief to DISCOMs.
The Union Cabinet has decided that Power Finance Corporation and Rural Electrification Corporation, which had the right to loan half of the working capital 25%, would get above the working capital limit this year.
Bought 190 million liters of ethanol
Javadekar said that the decision of the Central Government will directly benefit the sugarcane farmers of the country. He said that the government also takes ethanol at a good price. Last year, the government bought 190 crore liters of ethanol at a price of Rs 60 per liter.
The Central Government Secretary C Chandramouli said on this decision that there are more than 20 recruitment agencies in the Central Government. Although we are normalizing the examinations of only three agencies till now, over time we will make the Common Eligibility Test for all recruitment agencies in the future.
