The period of violence in Afghanistan has intensified. During the last 24 hours, 28 out of 34 provinces of the country have been hit by attacks by Taliban militants.

Bloody clashes between government forces and the Taliban have continued in Helmand, Kandahar, and Uruzgan for the past few days.

Experts believe that this violence has spread due to continuous delays of indirect peace talks between the government of Afghanistan and the Taliban.

Defense Ministry spokesman Rohullah Ahmadzai said, ‘Taliban militants have attacked the check posts and bases of government forces in 28 provinces in the last 24 hours.

Government forces also retaliated and thwarted these attacks and killed many Taliban militants. ‘ Kandahar police chief Tadin Khan said 70 Taliban militants have been killed and several others injured in clashes with Afghan forces.

Officials said on Saturday that 19 Taliban militants, including Mullah Amanullah, have been killed in Helmand province. On Friday, eight of his companions were also killed in the airstrike.

Last month, the Taliban launched a dangerous attack on Lakshargarh in the center of Helmand province.

Thousands of people became homeless due to this attack. According to the report, 2,117 civilians have died in Afghanistan during the last nine months.
