Central Government Statement, No State Will Be Discriminated

Central government statement, no state will be discriminated against in the allocation of corona vaccine. The Central Government on Wednesday said that 1.65 crore doses of Covishield and Covaxin have been allocated for health workers of states and union territories without any discrimination.

The government said that three days before the vaccination campaign starting from January 16, the work of transporting the vaccine to every corner of the country was done with full capacity.

The Health Ministry said that in the first phase, the target is to give a dose of corona vaccine to 30 crore people, including one crore health workers.

In view of the data of health workers of states and union territories, the purchase price of 1.65 crore doses has also been allocated to the respective states.

In such a situation, there is no question of discriminating against any state. The Ministry stated that this is the initial shipment of the vaccine. As the consignment ends, the states will continue to receive new consignments in the coming weeks.

Central government statement: The Health Ministry said that a maximum of 100 people will be vaccinated daily in a session at each vaccination center. States have been advised to take care of 10 percent of the reserve or applied vaccines and that 100 people should be vaccinated in a single session every day.

In order to maintain order, it is advised not to call more people in a hurry at any center. It is noteworthy that the Ministry of Health had said on Tuesday that 1.1 crore doses of covishield are being purchased from the Serum Institute of India.

The cost of each dose of covishield comes to Rs 200. Union Health Secretary Rajesh Bhushan had said that 55 lakh doses of covaxine are being purchased from Bharat Biotech.

Each of the 38.5 lakh doses of covaxine will cost Rs 295 (excluding tax). Bharat Biotech is providing 16.5 lakh doses free of cost, which will cost Rs 206 per dose.
