Sukesh Chandrasekhar is being screwed over the 200 crore fraud case. Now on Tuesday, actress Chahat Khanna recorded her statement before the Patilaya House Court in this matter.

The actress has recorded her statement under section 164 of CrPC before the court, reported the news agency.

Earlier, the Economic Offenses Wing of Delhi Police had filed a charge sheet in the year 2021 naming Sukesh Chandrasekhar, his wife Leena Maria Paul, and 14 other accused.

The charge sheet was filed under various sections of the IPC and provisions of the Maharashtra Organized Crime Control Act.

According to the prosecution, the EOW has scaled up its probe in a case related to extortion of over Rs 200 crore by Sukesh Chandrasekhar, lodged in Rohini jail, for allegedly cheating the wives of former Religare promoters Malvinder and Shivinder Singh.

At the same time, the police came to know in the investigation that the accused Sukesh Chandrasekhar had cheated Shivinder’s wife Aditi Singh, and Malvinder’s wife Japna Singh of several crores.

The women claimed that they had paid crores of rupees to the accused in her capacity as an officer of the Union Law Ministry to ensure the bail and safety of their husbands.

Sukesh is alleged to have introduced himself as Union Home Secretary and Law Secretary to Aditi Singh and her sister over the phone.

Promised Bail.

As per reports, Chandrasekhar, while Aditi was lodged in Rohini Jail, persuaded her to transfer money by posing as a central government official on spoof calls and promised to secure bail for her husband.

According to information, Sukesh Chandrasekhar and his actress wife Leena Maria Paul were arrested by the Delhi Police in September last year in a cheating case.
