Charge sheet filed against two Hizbul Mujahideen OGWs in Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh).

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Saturday filed a charge sheet against two Hizbul Mujahideen overground workers in an NIA special court in Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh).

Nisar Ahmed Sheikh and Nishad Ahmed Butt are residents of the Kishtwar district of the Jammu division.

An NIA spokesperson said that the Lucknow ATS had registered a case against Kamruz Zaman and his associates on 12 September 2018 in connection with anti-national activities.

He along with the terrorists of Hizbul Mujahideen was involved in implementing the conspiracy to carry out terror attacks in different parts of the country including Uttar Pradesh.

The NIA took over the investigation of the case on 24 September 2018. In this case, on 11 March 2019, the NIA filed a charge sheet in the NIA court against Kamruj and another accused terrorist Osama bin Javed.

Kamruj was caught in September 2018 itself. Osama was absconding and was killed on 28 September 2019 near Ramban in Jammu along with his two other accomplices by the security forces.

It was revealed in the investigation that Nisar Ahmed Sheikh R Nishad Ahmed Butt used to help Hizbul Mujahideen terrorists Osama bin Javed and Kamruz Zaman in Kishtwar.

Both Hizbul Mujahideen militants worked as underground workers. Nisar has repeatedly evaded Osama and other terrorists from one place to another.

Nishad used to arrange safe bases and other equipment for Osama and his companions. He also kept a hideout for the Hizbul Mujahideen terrorists at home. An NIA spokesperson said that investigations into the matter are on.

In Anantnag, terrorists opened fire on two civilians, one dead – the other’s condition critical

Militants opened fire on two local civilians in the Bijbehada area of ​​Anantnag district late Saturday. Two civilians were seriously injured in this incident.

Two civilians were injured in this incident. Both the injured were admitted for treatment at SKIMC Hospital in Srinagar but one of them has died.

The slain youth has been identified as 19-year-old Sanjid Ahmed Pare’s son Abdul Azim Pare. The injured in the incident have been identified as Shaan Batt son Ghulam Qadir Batt.
