Charges framed against Sharjeel Imam in sedition case related to Delhi riots.

The court of Additional Sessions Judge Amitabh Rawat has framed charges against the accused Sharjeel Imam in the sedition case related to the Delhi riots.

Charges have been framed against Sharjeel for sedition, creating enmity between two communities, making speeches against national unity, causing unrest, and carrying out illegal activities.

The next hearing in the matter will be held on February 4.

Let us inform you that Sharjeel Imam is accused of giving provocative speeches at Jamia Millia Islamia and Aligarh Muslim University in December 2019.

Jail administration sent a letter to Delhi Police, 82 jail workers posted in Rohini Jail felt relief.

The Economic Offenses Wing (EOW) of Delhi Police has written a letter to the Jail Headquarters recently, seeking permission to interrogate 82 jail personnel posted in Rohini Jail.

This inquiry is to be done in connection with providing illegal facilities in Rohini Jail to Sukesh Chandrashekhar, who is lodged in the case of cheating.

Now by sending a letter from the Jail Headquarters to the Delhi Police in this matter.

It has been said that what information or evidence does the police have at present against the jail workers for whom permission has been sought, on the basis of which interrogation is necessary.

After the letter sent by the jail administration to the Delhi Police, now 82 jail personnel posted in Rohini Jail are now feeling relieved, who had apprehensions about their arrest.

In fact, the personnel posted in Rohini Jail had been worrying for the last few days that along with departmental action in the Sukesh case, they should not come under the JD of the police action.

On Friday, about a hundred personnel posted in Rohini Jail had staged a sit-in in front of the Jail Headquarters at Janakpuri on the same issue.

The jail administration has bluntly said on this issue that Delhi Police will have to give separate point-wise information about each employee whom it wants to interrogate.

What kind of evidence has been found against them so far. Or what is such a thing, on the basis of which inquiry is necessary.

If the Delhi Police gives an answer, then the jail authorities will consider how strong is the police’s answer.

After this, if the jail administration considers it necessary that interrogation should be allowed now, then further action will be taken.
