Chargesheet filed against six more accused in illegal conversion case, hearing pending: UP Conversion Case.

The ATS has filed a charge sheet in the special court against the accused Prakash Rameshwar Kawade alias Adam, Kaushar Alam, Bhupriya Bando alias Arslan Mustafa and Faraz Shah in the case.

This is the second charge sheet after the implementation of this Act in the state. The matter of cognizance on the charge sheet is yet to be heard in the special court.

While the investigation against others is still going on.

According to the chargesheet filed in the special court, a conspiracy by the accused to spread religious hysteria, rancor, and hatred was being carried out in the countrywide illegal conversion gang.

These gave the converting person misleading facts about his religion. By creating animosity towards his original religion, he used to spoil the religious brotherhood.

They also used to intimidate people of a particular religion by referring to concepts like the fire of hell in the life of the world after death.

Their contact is also connected at the international level. For this, money was being sent to them from abroad through hawala.

By these, large-scale conversions were being done to change the population balance under an organic mechanism by luring economically weaker women and differently-abled people.

Under a well-planned conspiracy, their aim was to establish a system of Sharia-based government in the country.

On June 20, 2021, the FIR of this case was lodged by Sub-Inspector Vinod Kumar in the ATS police station.
