Chhattisgarh: 27 Naxalites Surrender At Barsur Police Station

Chhattisgarh: 27 Naxalites surrender, including five prizes carrying Naxals, homecoming campaign successful, 177 Naxals have returned.

Inspired by the ongoing Lone Varratu (Come Back Home) campaign of the police in the district, 27 Naxalites surrendered at Barsur police station on Sunday. However, no Naxalites brought weapons.

Among the surrenders, five Naxalites are worth Rs 1 lakh each.

Lone Varratu campaign being successful

The Lone Varratu (homecoming) campaign of the Dantewada police is continuously getting success. On Sunday, 27 Naxalites from villages across the Indravati river reached Barsur police station and surrendered.

He said that under pressure Naxalites were formed.

Now the importance of society and the life of the forest is understood. Police officials here said that all the Naxalite sensitive villages are Manganar, Biedma, Cave, Hitawada, Handwara.

177 surrendered in Lone Vanuatu.

About three months ago, Dantewada SP Dr. Abhishek Pallava started the Lone Varratu (Come Back Home) campaign. 177 Naxalites have surrendered so far in the campaign. There are 45 prizes among them.

Six women are also among those who surrendered at Barsur police station on Sunday. A woman had arrived with her two-month-old baby girl. She said that she was beaten up by the Naxalites and joined the organization.

At the same time, they got married and gave birth to a baby girl two months ago. She does not want her daughter to live among the Naxalites.

Recently 32 Naxalites surrendered

Earlier, 32 Naxalites surrendered in the Barsoor police station itself. All of them were residents of villages like Bakeli, Matasi, Tumarigunda, Corcotti, Uddanar, etc.

Four out of the surrendered Naxals had a reward of Rs 1 lakh each. Apart from these, there are 28 other members.

Reward worth eight lakh left weapon

The last September, eight lakh Naxalite surrendered under Lone Varratu Abhiyan (Homecoming) in Dantewada, Chhattisgarh.

According to the police, Kosa Markam was a member of platoon number 2 of Maoist military company number 05 in the North Bastar division. He had worked with many big leaders.
