Chief Minister MK Stalin Has Inaugurated 500-Bed Hospital

Chief Minister MK Stalin has inaugurated a 500-bed special treatment center with oxygen facilities in Salem.

Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu MK Stalin opened the 500-bed Govt Specialist Treatment Center in Salem with oxygen.

In addition, he has ordered the establishment of additional 500-bed facilities within 10 days to become the premier specialist treatment center in India.

In a press release issued by the Government of Tamil Nadu, “A complete curfew has been imposed across the state for two weeks from 04.00 hrs on 10.05.2021 to 04.00 hrs on 24.05.2021.

To intensify coronavirus control activities in Tamil Nadu and the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu has taken serious measures to control the corona epidemic Is coming.

Various new restrictions have been imposed in Salem district since 07.05.2021 to intensify preventive measures.

From 07.05.2021 to date, 71,417 sputum samples have been taken and 8,768 infected people have been diagnosed, treated and 7,432 have been sent home with complete recovery.

A total of 1,583 beds with oxygen facilities have been set up at the Salem Government Mohan Kumaramangalam Medical College Hospital with 966 beds with oxygen facilities and 617 beds with oxygen facilities at government hospitals.

Private hospitals have 2,896 beds with oxygen facilities. In addition, 2,770 beds have been set up at the Corona Special Treatment Center and 600 beds at government primary health centers.

Monitoring teams of 354 persons have been set up in 177 areas across Salem district to monitor the spread of coronavirus infection .

In addition, for the first time, a 500 – bed specialized corona treatment center with life-saving intensive care unit, laboratory, pharmacy, qualified specialists, nurses, and modern medical equipment will be set up at the site.

The Hon’ble Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu has instructed them to open and inspect the Corona Special Treatment Center and to expand the center to make it the first specialist treatment center in India to provide an additional 500 beds with oxygen facilities for the public use and to complete the work within 10 days.
