China’s army has 21.83 lakh and India has a total of 14.44 lakh soldiers. In this way, these two countries are the two largest countries in the world in terms of military manpower.

This ranking is issued from time to time in different categories of total military strength (the ability to the war on land, water, and sky), military manpower, weapons, finance, natural resources, and geographical location.

The current ranking is based on military manpower. In this, at any time, the ‘Soldier ready for war’ available to any nation is made the basis. The data presented on this list is for 2019.

Estimates are made when official data is not available. The top-10 countries based on military manpower by Global Firepower include China, India, besides the US, North Korea, Russia, Pakistan, South Korea, Iran, Vietnam, and Saudi Arabia.

A total of 138 countries are named in this list.

At the same time, among the ten countries with the least troops – Suriname (1850 soldiers), Montenegro (2000 soldiers), Liberia (2100 soldiers), Gabon (5000 soldiers).

Moldova (5100 soldiers), Latvia (5300 soldiers), Niger (5300 soldiers) ), Estonia (6500 soldiers), Bhutan (7000 soldiers), and the Central African Republic (7150 soldiers).

Strength of Indian Airforce

According to the Global Firepower report, the Indian Air Force has a total of 2123 aircraft. Of these, 538 combatants, 172 bombers, 250 transporters, 359 trainers, 77 are special mission category aircraft. The number of helicopters is 722.

Army and Navy

The Indian Army has a total of 4292 tanks. Apart from these, there are a total of 8686 armed vehicles and 4060 cannons. The number of rocket projectors is stated to be 266.

Looking at the Indian Navy, according to the Global Firepower report, we have a total of 285 ships. It has one aircraft carrier, 10 destroyers, 13 warships.

There are 16 submarines, 139 patrolling boats. In addition, there are 19 battleships and 3 mine warfare.
